The Story

There was a time when I felt I had to explain myself.

Where I came from. What I had been through. What I did not have. And eventually — even what I had achieved.

Not anymore.

Ndza Katekile. I am blessed.

I have learned that there is no shame in where I started, and there is no shame in how far God has brought me.

I can honour my roots and still desire more.

I can remember the difficult seasons and still enjoy the beautiful ones.

I can succeed without apologising for succeeding.

Ndza Katekile is about overcoming shame and embracing your life with gratitude.

Not arrogance. Not showing off. Simply being able to look at what God has done and say: I will not be ashamed of my blessing.

Blessing: Recognising God’s goodness in your journey.
Freedom: No longer living under the weight of people’s opinions.
Identity: Your beginnings do not make you less worthy of where you are going.
Gratitude: Enjoying what you have without forgetting where it came from.
Overcoming: Refusing to allow yesterday’s struggles to become tomorrow’s identity.
